Dearest Writer,

Welcome to The Horror Writer’s Workshop, Transylvania. If there’s one destination a horror writer should visit at least once in their life-time, Transylvania is the place! Whether you’re a new or established writer, or just new to the genre, the home of Vlad Ţepeş, Dracula will inspire you to “believe in things you cannot see.” Here in Transylvania, we’re dying to meet you. We´d love to share the local folklore and inspire you to write your own legendary tales. Together, we’ll delve to the depths of the horror genre and explore how to turn a good story into a publishable piece of writing. During your weeklong stay, you´ll be given expert-led lectures on how to master the mechanics of horror writing, as well as learn about the latest trends in the world of publishing. Guided exercises and assignments will help generate new writing, teach you how to polish it, and also offer new angles on work-in-progress. In addition, ample time will be devoted to workshop your writing. It’s a mind-blowing intensive seven days of writing and workshops, aimed at getting you writing and producing publishable work. Be prepared, your writing potential will surface. And how could we forget our setting? Transylvania has long been a haven for ‘pasionații de’ horror. The literacy legacy of Bram Stoker and Dracula is literally everywhere. You can enjoy lunch in the actual home where Vlad Ţepeş, Dracula was born, visit Bran Castle that inspired Bram Stoker’s masterpiece, or take an at-your-own-risk stroll through the world’s most haunted forest, Hoia-Baciu.
